Headstrong 32-year-old Lorelai Gilmore carves out a life for herself and her equally willful teenage daughter, Rory.

Season 2 of Gilmore Girls premiered on October 9, 2001.

Lorelai and Rory's unique mother-daughter relationship continues to evolve as Lorelai ponders a surprise marriage proposal, and Rory continues at the exclusive Chilton Academy and tries to sort out her feelings for Dean.

Season 3 of Gilmore Girls premiered on September 24, 2002.

As graduation from Chilton Academy approaches, Rory's (Alexis Bledel) life becomes complex, and both her love life and Lorelai's (Lauren Graham) grow chaotic. Recurring guest stars Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) and Billy Burke (Twilight) add drama.

Season 4 of Gilmore Girls premiered on September 23, 2003.

Season four is a year of transitions for the Gilmores. Lorelai quits her job to realize her ambition of opening an inn of her own with her best friend, Sookie (Melissa McCarthy, Samantha Who?). Rory, meanwhile, is adjusting to her new life at Yale.
