Exodus: Our Journey 2016

Season 1 of Exodus: Our Journey premiered on July 11, 2016.

Twelve months ago, the production team started following the journeys of people attempting to reach Europe, escaping war, poverty or persecution. They filmed where regular film crews could not go: on the inflatable dinghies crossing from Turkey to Greece, in the back of lorries entering the Eurotunnel, or on open trucks driven by people smugglers across the Sahara.

Season 2 of Exodus: Our Journey premiered on November 2, 2017.

In this second series we revisit some of those who arrived in 2015 and find out how they have been welcomed by the countries they now call home. We also follow the stories of those who are still making the increasingly difficult and dangerous journeys in search of a better life. Inside Europe, the way out of the camps and across the closed borders is with smugglers, who offer little more than a risky journey and an uncertain future.
